Every bag is single origin Ethiopian coffee, specialty grade, scored 80 or higher on the SCA Q scale, and roasted in micro-batches at Quad Coffee Lab in South Bend. Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and these two roasts are two ways of hearing the same place speak.
What is inside
- Daybreak, our Light Roast. Bright and floral: natural sweetness, citrus lift, a delicate finish.
- Sunbloom, our Medium Roast. Bold and balanced, a fuller body without losing the origin character.

Scored 80 or higher by certified graders on the SCA Q scale, judged across ten attributes: aroma, taste, aftertaste, acidity, body, balance, cleanliness, sweetness, uniformity, and overall. Only the top 5 to 10 percent of beans worldwide qualify.
Single Origin
Traceable to one region in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee. No blending means the character of the soil and altitude comes through cleanly in every cup, not smoothed over.
Micro-Batch Roasted
Roasted in small batches at Quad Coffee Lab in South Bend, Indiana. Small batches mean tighter quality control and peak freshness. We roast to order, not to a warehouse shelf.
Your grind, your ritual
Whole Bean or Ground
Grind right before you brew for the freshest possible cup. If you have a grinder at home, this is the move: coarse for pour-over and drip, fine for espresso.
No grinder, no problem. We grind to a versatile medium that works well across most drip and pour-over methods, so you can brew right out of the bag.
