Who We Are
A foundation built on purpose, not profit.
We started as two Notre Dame students with a simple belief: great coffee can change lives. That belief became Addisuna Coffee Co, where every bag sold carries a gift for students in Ethiopia.
To make that impact real and lasting, we also founded the Addisuna Youth Foundation as our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It’s through this foundation that the work takes shape on the ground.
Today that work is personal. The Addisuna Youth Foundation sponsors 18 students in Ethiopia, from second grade through eighth, and we buy what keeps each of them in class: school uniforms, backpacks, notebooks, pens, sanitary pads so girls do not miss school, and for some, the ride there.

Every bag gives $2.30 to the Addisuna Youth Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3). Each figure is what that gift buys at what these supplies cost our students in Ethiopia this school year.

The tax side, plainly
- Tax deductible. The Addisuna Youth Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) (EIN 41-4410739), so gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. In the US that generally applies when you itemize.
- Your receipt arrives on its own. Zeffy emails a tax receipt the moment you give. Keep it for tax season.
- No platform fee. Zeffy charges nonprofits nothing. At checkout it may suggest an optional tip to Zeffy itself, which you can set to $0.
- Ask about a match. Many employers match their employees’ charitable gifts. One email to HR can double yours.
- Giving from a donor advised fund? Recommend a grant to the Addisuna Youth Foundation using our EIN.
- Timing. A gift counts toward the tax year in which you make it, so year-end gifts count for that year.
